Kajal
While walking near a Hindu temple, it is common to see the every day traditional cosmetic and apparel of the Hindu women in Nepal. The women are wearing a traditional Nepali dress that can been seen worn by people throughout the nation. The beautiful baby girl in between the women, exemplifies many traditions that her family must practice. The red circle on her forehead is know commonly by Hindu people as a tikka or a bindi, this mark on a children is signified as good luck and a mark of celebration after visiting a Hindu temple. The black eye liner around her eye is called Kajal, this is put on children to protect them from the “evil eye,” or a lustful eye.
